冒険家植村氏を一躍有名にした犬ぞりによる北極点走破のシンボルです。募金活動にシンボルは使われましたが、氏の犬ぞりにつけられた帆にもこのシンボルがプリントされていました。マッキンリーに消息を絶った氏の面影はいつまでも記憶に残ります。

The symbol for adventurer Uemura Naomi's solo expedition to the North Pole, the success of which made him an instant celebrity. While this logo was used mainly for fund-raising purposes, it was also found printed on the flag attached to Uemura's dogsled. Although his life ended when he disappeared while climbing Mt. Mckinley in 1984, he has left behind a legacy of adventuring spirit.
