The United States and other North American markets open new possibilities for Japanese products. While Japanese foods used to target mainly Japanese communities overseas, we are now finding more and more opportunities to market them to non-Asian populations around the world. In designing the packages for products already familiar within Japan in the US, we keep in mind the unique tastes and preferences Americans are likely to have.
